Usalama envisions a brotherhood in which men challenge one another to grow, lead, take accountability, and invest in their own futures.
Our goal is to create greater access to personal development, leadership opportunities, employment and career resources, community connections, and other tools that can help men build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
We believe growth also creates responsibility. As men strengthen themselves, they become better positioned to mentor young people, serve their communities, and help create opportunities for others.

Young people need more than messages about what to avoid. They need meaningful alternatives, trusted guidance, positive relationships, and places where they can learn, connect, and grow.
Usalama plans to develop mentorship, educational workshops, life-skills programming, after-school activities, positive recreation, and leadership-development opportunities for youth and young adults.
Our goal is to connect young people with supportive adults, constructive activities, resources, and opportunities that can help them build stronger futures.

Education is an important part of Usalama’s long-term vision for young people. We aim to support efforts that encourage consistent school attendance, academic achievement, high school completion, life-skills development, career exploration, and access to opportunities beyond graduation.
As Usalama grows, we envision working alongside families, schools, community organizations, mentors, and other partners to help connect young people with the support and resources they need to remain engaged in their education and prepare for their futures.

Usalama's vision for violence prevention extends beyond responding after violence has already occurred.
We aim to strengthen the conditions that can help prevent violence: positive relationships, mentorship, education, opportunity, constructive activities, communication, conflict resolution, community connection, and men willing to guide the generations coming behind them.
Through dialogue, diplomacy, and relationship-building, Usalama seeks to encourage healthier approaches to conflict while creating stronger connections within communities.

Usalama is built around a shared responsibility: men becoming stronger not only for themselves, but so they are better positioned to strengthen their families, guide young people, and serve their communities.
SERVICE IN ACTION
Usalama organizes and conducts volunteer programs and charitable community-service projects that bring men and community members together to serve local youth, families, and neighborhoods. Through community givebacks, resource initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and other service projects, we transform brotherhood and shared responsibility into meaningful community action.
RECENT COMMUNITY ACTION
Backpack & School Supply Giveback | August 2026
In August 2026, Usalama Foundation organized a community giveback providing backpacks and school supplies to local youth. With the support of volunteers, the initiative brought community members together to serve youth and families and put Usalama's commitment to community service into action.
